Welcome to the 2nd Kirkham (St. Michael's) Scout Group

We are a thriving Scout Group serving the area in and around the market town of Kirkham, located on the Fylde coast between Preston and Blackpool in West Lancashire.

We have a Beaver Scout Colony, a Cub Scout Pack and a Scout Troop, and support a local Explorer Scout Unit. In March we had 24 Beavers, 26 Cubs and 31 Scouts.

  • Cubs had a successful Winter camp at Waddecar, near Beacon Fell
  • Scout Bowlander Training weekend
  • 4 Younger Scouts attended the District Skills weekend

  • Cubs attended the Carr Hill School production of 'We will rock you'
  • Cubs had an archery & climbing evening at DHQ, St Annes
  • Scout Bowlander Hiking Competition, Team of 6 Scouts Competed against 29 other teams from across West Lancs County
  • Troop Archery, Shooting & Climbing evening at DHQ

  • Beaver Leaders are organising the District Sleepover at Waddecar, near Beacon Fell
  • PLs and APLs weekend camp & visit to 'Go Ape' high level ropes course
  • Annual District St Georges Day parade, St Cuthbert's Church, Lytham

  • Cubs are holding a Queen's Diamond Jubilee Party
  • Scout County Rally Camp at Waddecar
  • Start of the Scout Kayaking Season
